Our bestseller in a beautiful dark finish is back!

We’ve listened to your requests and brought back the unique Czech grinder, which will last for generations. The gorgeous meticulous slow craftsmanship makes each piece a one-of-a-kind original. The grinder is 25 cm in height, and its body houses, as you are used to, the patented CrushGrind® grinding mechanism. The rings of the body and head of the grinder fit together perfectly. Each grinder has a unique wood grain, shade, and wrinkles – you will never find the same piece twice. Czech handcrafting uses two pieces of premium American walnut.

Indestructible. That’s how you describe our walnut Czech grinder, which we had in a limited stock for a short time. Thanks to your satisfaction, we’ve brought it back, this time in a stunning gift set, which is the largest of our single grinder sets, also in a beautiful stained wood design.

This set is perfect for anyone who is truly serious about Kampot pepper, whether they are just starting to cook or if the kitchen is their natural territory. The pepper will last at least a year, and the grinder has a 25-year warranty on the mechanism, making it truly multi-generational.

The package includes a brochure “The Story of the Best Pepper in the World” with certificates of authenticity and information about Kampot pepper.

Kampot Pepper

The set includes three 70g test tubes of the main types of Kampot pepper: black, red, and white. Each type differs in flavor and aroma, which you’ll hardly find in pepper bought at regular supermarkets

.
Black pepper, once ground, releases notes of eucalyptus, camphor, and thyme, accompanied by the scent of lime peel. These gradually blend into a seaside aroma with developing fruity tones. The dominant aroma is peach and nectarine, followed by pine and earthy notes of Cambodian mountain soil rich in minerals.

The rare red pepper
is an explosion of fruity tones with a milder pungency. It initially has notes of rose and rosehip, which then transition to dried cherries. After two to three minutes, the typical Kampot pepper aromas emerge, such as citrus fruits, dried mandarins, and the earthier crust of sourdough bread.

White pepper is a gentle yet still peppery touch for the taste buds. After grinding, aromas of camphor, sage, and cedarwood develop, accompanied by a subtle fragrance of nutmeg flower, grapefruit, and other citrus fruits. After several minutes in the mouth, you’ll notice hints of nutmeg, thyme flower, and lemon balm, underlaid with aromas of cedar and black tea.

Grinding mechanism

The 25 cm tall grinder is designed to fit perfectly in your hand while taking up minimal space in the kitchen. The Danish CrushGrind® grinding mechanism, guaranteed for 25 years, is easily adjustable, allowing you to choose between fine grinding to highlight the pepper’s sharpness or coarse grinding to emphasize its exotic flavors and aromas. The mechanism can handle peppercorns or salt crystals up to 5 mm in size.

Maintenance

Adjusting the grinding coarseness of the pepper changes its flavor profile. Smaller fragments produce a sharper taste, while larger fragments bring out the exotic tones of Kampot pepper. When refilling the grinder, never use bare hands. Pour the peppercorns directly into the chamber from the package using a spoon or funnel. Open the grinder by pulling the head upwards from the body. Regular cleaning is essential, but avoid water or chemical cleaners; a cloth, brush, and a drop of olive oil will suffice. Keep the grinder away from sinks and handle it carefully over steam.

Materials

This set is entirely Czech-made. The wooden box is from Polička, the glass vials containing Kampot pepper are from a local glassworks, and the grinder is handcrafted in the Czech Republic from two pieces of premium American walnut. This exceptional wood, with its stunning natural color and unique grain pattern, combined with the world’s best pepper, represents the perfect harmony of human craftsmanship and nature.
