Origin

Kampot pepper is grown in the Kampot province located at the very south of Southeast Asia's Cambodia.

It is an area that, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, allows local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. It is no wonder that this pepper has been awarded a protected geographical indication, similar to French champagne. We purchase pepper from small family farms under direct trade conditions, which ensure a fair reward for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders. Thanks to this, by purchasing from us, you not only get pepper of the highest quality but also the assurance that you are buying a sustainable and morally responsible product that helps provide its producers with medical care and education for their children..

Characteristic

The rare dark red Kampot pepper in the mouth unleashes an explosion of fruity tones accompanied by a milder spiciness.

The dark red peppercorns initially release fragrant notes of blood oranges, cranberries, and elderberry, underlined by characteristic tones of cedar and lemon balm with a subtle hint of tobacco leaves. After a while, the heart of the dark red pepper begins to manifest, reminiscent of yeast dough, new spices along with roasted malt. It is a very dense fragrance that gradually transitions into black Assam tea, and in the end, cedar tones are once again expressed.

Processing

Dark red pepper can literally be called a selection of berries. These are strictly selected red grains reaching the highest color saturation of their skin.

This reveals a truly high fructose content and a unique flavor profile of these grains that you will love.

Thanks to careful selection corresponding to the strict quality requirements for pepper exported from Kampot, set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best grains are always handpicked. These are then vacuum-packed to preserve quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packaged, and delivered to your table.

Usage

Thanks to the high fructose content, which gives red pepper an intense fruity taste, you can experiment with this pepper when mixing drinks or preparing sweet desserts.

Give it space during Christmas baking, perfectly highlight the taste of fish or poultry. And surprise your guests with its refined taste and aroma.

The finer you Kampot crush the pepper, the more intense the pungency will be, on the contrary, larger fragments or whole grains will lend the dish more specific tones of pepper.

Package

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag sealing technology, air and moisture do not reach the pepper.

Thanks to this, the grains retain their authentic taste and aroma of Kampot pepper even after opening the bag. After emptying, you can further upcycle the bags and continue to use them in a variety of other ways as part of sustainability. We pack the pepper in resealable bags ranging from 20 to 1000 grams. Each Package also includes a brochure that brings you the story of the best pepper in the world and introduces you to the world of .pepper..field.

Award

Quality is our top priority, as confirmed not only by the certificates our pepper carries but also by the awards it receives from global competitions.

Among the most significant is the award given to our pepper in the competition Great Taste, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of gastronomy.

However, sustainability is also important to us, which we do not perceive as mere empty words, as evidenced by the SDG’s award granted to truly sustainable and socially responsible projects.
